Actio Consulting helps SRAM improve salary processing.
SRAM, a US-based multinational company owner of SRAM, Rockshox, Zipp, Quarq and Truevativ brands, is a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of high quality bicycle components such as transmissions, shock absorbers, brakes, wheels and pressure sensors, among many others. It operates production units in America, Europe and Asia. Its unit located in Portugal is the only one, within the group, focused in the design and manufacture of chains, besides performing the assembly of wheels.
As part of its operational excellence program, and after several improvement activities in manufacturing, the company's management has decided to carry out an improvement project in administration, specifically in the human resources department.
The aim of this activity was to reduce the time consumed in the processing of salaries, as well as eliminate any errors in the process. Actio Consulting teamed with SRAM in analyzing the current state of the process, developing the future state, and defining the improvement action plan using, among others, the Makigami technique appropriate to the mapping and improvement of transactional processes.
